In our collections, we draw inspiration from the symbolism and spirituality of the African continent. For us, the African continent stands for so much more than the obvious – it stands as much for colourful patterns, openness, frankness and warmth as it does for moral values, strength, deep spirituality and reflection on ancient values. Africa – that is our origin – and so we have let ourselves be guided and inspired by an important African symbolic language and designed collections that are meant to stand for grace, strength and femininity.

We believe that body jewellery itself brings out the sensuality, strength and femininity of the wearer and that a woman’s body jewellery is a forgotten tradition that has been practiced by many peoples of the world to express the strength, grace and femininity of women.

Adinkra is an African symbolic language that originated from the Ashanti people on the west coast of Africa. The Adinkra is a spiritual and visual symbolism that contains original life wisdom and messages from God and the universe. The Adinkra is about the individual’s perspective on God, people, nature and the universe – and the individual’s place in this earthly and supernatural world.

Especially the position of women in this world is taken up by the symbolic language. We women are powerful beings under the protection of Mother Nature and the gods of wisdom. We are virtuous, feminine, wise and strong and unite the universe in our hearts and souls.

With Amaziha we want to give you women of the world a part of this spiritual belief in our strength – our jewellery is meant to accentuate your inner & outer beauty, wisdom, greatness strength and femininity.

For this reason we have chosen the name Amaziha – Amaziha is Swahili and means

“the extraordinary”.
